What we collect

When you create an account: your email address, your name if you give one, and how you signed in (password, emailed link or Google). Passwords are handled by our host, never seen by us.

This site has no ads, no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics. One cookie keeps you signed in.

Why

To give you your account and what it opens (legal basis: the service you asked for). We may email you about your account and, rarely, about major news of The Big Zoom. Your data is never sold or rented.

We keep it until you ask us to delete your account, which you can do at any time by writing to us.

Our providers

Hosting: Leaf, with a database stored in the European Union; pages are served by the Cloudflare network.

Sign-in: accounts are handled by Leaf, our host, on this site's own address (email and password, an emailed link, or Google).

Videos: embedded videos come from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com): YouTube stores nothing until you press play. After that, Google's Privacy Policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy

YouTube API Services

Our publishing tools use the YouTube API Services, internally only: to upload and manage the videos of our own channels and read their statistics. The application is used by our team alone: it never asks for access to the Google account of any visitor or viewer, and collects no data about them.

The access tokens to our channels are kept on our own computer and, encrypted, by our host to read our videos' statistics; they are never shared or sold.

By using our content on YouTube, you are bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Access granted to an application can be revoked at any time here: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to contact@thebigzoom.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: cnil.fr).
